We have a Hunter 466 with davits on the stern. We have a 10' Caribe with center console that weighs, give or take, 4oo#. Well within the range of the davits. We are having a heck of a time getting the dinghy past the ladder extrusions and the hand grips on its way up. It seems to be putting quite a strain on the system. I sit on the tramsom and push the dinghy out with my feet as my husband raises it with the winch, but it seems like we're doing it the hard way. Do any of you have an easier way to raise your dinghy? Maybe with an assist of something like a "shoehorn"? Any of your help or experience would be greatly appreciated by this aging couple....Debbie
