Is there a pattern for davits to be attatched to a 376 which does not interfere to much with the transom swim platform. Any information on this would be appreaciated Thankyou

Davits for your 376

As you are no doubt aware, the 376 and other Hunter models of her generation (29.5, 33.6, 35.5, 37.6, 40.5 and 430) have wonderful ammenities in the area of the swim platform. It does mean however, that it is impossible to mount davits in the center area of the yacht's transom. Our solution to this problem has been to mount the davits on the top rail at the after end of the stern rail seats, and locate the base mount on the outside edge of the transom just inboard of the hull/deck joint and directly underneath the stern rail. This allows the davits to stand perpendicular. The davits are then adjusted so that the OUTER ends of the davit arms are positioned over the lifting points in the dinghy. We have a photo of a 336 installation on our web site, Please visit that site and have a look. I also have several file photos of a 376 davit installation that I can E mail you. Just send me an E mail at: <oceanmarine@hotmail.com> and I will attach the photos to a reply.
