I bought a Walker Bay 8'dinghy to get to and from shore when we're anchored. I really need some leads on a good, reasonably priced davit system to hoist the dinghy up at the stern of our Mac 26X. Even better would be some pictures of a well constructed davit system that somebody fabricated themselves. My biggest problem is getting it out of the water above the Mac 26's motor and far enough out so that the rudders can be raised and lowered. The dinghy only weighs 71 lbs., so I'm thinking I can mount something off of the aft safety rails. Has anybody ever tried putting davits on a Mac 26?
