I need to put davits on my 42 Passage and wonder if anyone has a recommendation. I can either get ones that lifts the boat and motor or just hoist the dinghy (10ft. Zoom with 8HP 4-Stroke)
I realize they are cross country in Annapolis, MD, but I was just in their shop this week discussing davits. They have almost every model boat spec'd out, and we incredibly helpful. See details below. Ask for Colleen, tell her the guy with the dog sent you.
We put Kato davits on our 40 this year and love them. Good people with a great product and service. They really know what works so do take their advice. We carry our 10.5 ft RIB w/ 15 hp 4 stroke, 175lb/117lb load, on our 40 with no problems. good luck, Don
I have been looking for davits for my p42 for 2 yrs.they had to be strong.lifting 11 ft dink and 100 lb.motor,and a place to mount 400 watts of solar.the over the counter products just wont stand up to this!if you are a cruiser,spend the money and get what you want built out of good grade alum.
