I've been struggling with the idea of getting davits for my H33. I'm ready to make a purchase but now am stuck on the problem on accessing the inside of the transom to mount the backing plate and bolts for the struts. I think I can really only reach the middle section of the transom. I have no idea how people have accessed the outer edges of the transom where most davits are mounted. The holding and fuel tanks block access to each corner. Any one have any thoughts on this?
I compared Ocean Marine Systems and Kato Marine Davits. Wound up going with OMS-- they were less expensive, but kept hearing good things from other Hunter owners. Michael Thomas at OMS is a perfectionist and dedicated to getting the right set-up for your boat and dinghy. I'll post some pictures when I install them.
