WA

Always thought WA=Washington. Obviously I wasn't thinking far enough. Guess I'll have to think about setting my sails farther west . . . . the old west. Welcome to HOW

That's crazy!

Hey Crazy Would need to be crazy - in a 240 anyway. Have done coastal offshore, but on larger yachts - like Wollongong to Sydney, Gold Coast (Queensland) to Sydney. Have a 32 on Sydney Harbour which I'm selling. (I hope) .I posted a few questions about 240's on the site about the cancellation. Asking for any ideas on improvements or changes. Regards David

I'd sail a 260 to the states.

If only I could get a sponsor. May take a while waiting for the right weather windows but yeah I reckon it would be a piece of cake. Make a few mods to the rigging and throw out the standard sails. Strengthen the hull a tad in a few places perhaps. (Mainly bulheads.) Put extras in like larger H2o tank. Refridgeration and battery bank with solar panels. Life raft, sextant,GPS,compass, auto pilot, laptop etc etc etc etc. Hey perhaps Hunter may like to sponsor it for they "go the distance".

big is best

Mark If I was going, I'd be happy with something about 40 feet plus and with all the right gear. Any sort of Hunter of course.
