I am beginning negotiations with Dave Condon of American Marine and Sail, to purchase a 2004 Hunter 260. I will be exporting the boat from the USA to Australia where I currently live, this means that all dealings with Dave have been via the internet and email. Cease worrying...Dave is a straight arrow. I have known him since he sold us our first boat in 1993....Still in contact w/him as he is the ONLY one who figured out how to rig the engine on my new-to-me sailboat last year. He knows stuff that put other dealers to shame. He will do his best to please you...unless you are an unreasonable sort. He'll give you a good deal and will do what he says he'll do. Relax & enjoy the boat you are buying from one of the most colorful characters in sailing today. elle

Dave is one of the most knowledgeble people alive for water-ballasted Hunters. He has always tried to keep his online persona of Crazy Dave very separate from his professional career as a dealer. I also have just placed a deposit on a Hunter 260 with Crazy Dave and the comments on this forum were just great to read. I have not met him as yet but am looking forward to it. All I can add is that he was just excellent to deal with over the phone and just super in answering my sometimes Dumb questions. He certainly is customer oriented. Now I feel even better than before.
