I have a Raymarine E80 MFD on board our boat. I have a Navionics Map set up in it and within the Map are tide tables. When I call up the tide tables the date is correct but the time is way off. I think it might be a time zone set wrong but for the life of me I cannot find where it can be changed. Has anyone had this problem and how is it set? Thanks

For my RayMarine E90W MFD, the time/date is entered under Menu > System Setup > Time/Date Setup.

Bob, I did find that but it was only to set up the format for the time/date. Not the actual time or date. I was wondering if it comes from the GPS somehow but not having much luck finding it.

I will look again and thanks for the response.

I was correct. The date comes from the GPS but the time has to be "offset" to coinside with local time. I certainly could not find this in the Operations Manual but I would not have had a clue what to look for.

Here are the instructions from Raymarine:

"Date and GMT are not configured by the MFD. These data items are supplied to the MFD by a properly interfaced GPS sensor. GPS sensors are responsible for supplying the Multifunction Display (MFD) with not only position data, SOG, and COG, but also with date and time (UTC) data. In order to properly utilize the tide/current features and to display local time, the MFD's Local Time Offset feature (MENU->SYSTEM SETUP->DATE/TIME SETUP->LOCAL TIME OFFSET) must be configured for the local time zone's offset from UTC (ex. -3.0)."

Did this and my tide charts worked just fine. One more issue resolved.

North Cruise

Hi sounds like you are getting everything in order for the north cruise and it should be a good trip.
My boat has been sitting for 3 months and so been getting everything back and working and of course not everything always does work fine like the outboard which been taking apart and cleaning it so it will run like new again.
Good thing I have my C-80 manual handy so I can remind me how it all works
for those senior moments, saturday's Monnlight Regatta was my first real chance to check everything was working and in the dark was not the best time for that but we survived.
See ya sunday for a great cruise north.
Nick
