The original Datamarine Corinthian Series S100 KL Speedo – S200 DL depth sounder on my 85 P-34 no longer work. I would like to replace with something NEMA compatible and less bulky. I am thinking of the Northstar M310 Multi seeming to have good capability and price. Also I am eying their new broadband radar with lust as my Furuno fades, but that is future think, not this year. So, a few questions:
Any experience with these Navico instruments?
Navico Support says their transducers will not fit the old thru hulls. I do not know the transducer size & thread as I am too far away from the boat in the winter but am trying to plan purchases & possible take advantage of Defender's sale this week. Experience with this & know about compatible transducers??
DMI Marine has their Chameleon Sea-M series, and they are familiar with Datamarine, so presumably they either do, or can, fit the transducers to the old thru-hulls. Do not have a price yet but they spec out well. Any experience with these?
