Is it possible to use a Stowe/Datamarine depth tranducer with a Raymarine ST40 Depth. Same goes for a Datamarine Wind to a Raymarine tridata or ST40 Wind. Is it just a matter of connecting the right wires. Thanks Robert

No the..

They use a different frequency. I tried it and it does not work. Did you really think it would be that easy? After all this is a boat we're talking about. BOAT = break out another thousand!

I replaced our Datamarine with Raymarine...

last season... Everything had to be replaced PLUS the cut outs for the Datamarine are larger than those required for the Raymarine... One more challenge... If you are interested in the project, you can see it in detail at our website http://www.sailingseadragon.com/index.htm Then go to "Projects" and there you will find the details under "Replacing Instruments" Good luck Garner

I Agree - Very Nice Site

I even found the brochure on the Velvet Drive Tansmission. My word what an awesome site. When I grow up I want to be like you - OK? Bill

not so fast

I was under the impression there are two frequency transducers, and only two. So the odds of making it work are 50%. Next, I'd contact Raymarine at their site and ask them. Might as well go the horses mouth.

How about wind then

Is the wiring different for all wind vanes.???? I agree a call to Raymarine is in order, although I'm not sure how encouraging they may be about mix and match. Robert
