I have coyotes in the field behind my house. My son's dog goes crazy when they start yipping at night.

You've got a swing keel, you're all set for Cuttyhunk and Tashmoo
I can actually beach my boat... :plus:

Looking at this beach in the bottom of this photo .....

Thanks Tom. Good to know. I always anchored outside to the west of red bouy #6. Good holding but only settled in a southerly. If the winds turn to the north or west it’s very exposed. We had that happen one night in a T-storm with gusts in the 30’s and it wasn’t at all comfortable.

I would suggest picking up a mooring if one is to be found. I have anchored many times in Tashmoo and Cuttyhunk west of bouy#6. I agree it is you best bet if you need to anchor. The only two times I ever dragged anchor was in Tashmoo and the outer harbor at Cuttyhunk. The eel grass is pretty healthy and we had a squall sneak up both times after midnight. Lucky we dragged east and not north towards Pease Ledge. You should have seen the ball of mud my Mason Supreme pulled up the next morning.
