Damaged Sliding hatch

We just purchased a beautiful Catalina 22 , Circa 1986...but we found that the sliding hatch runners that slide in the wooden rails are cracked.
Any suggestion?

This is a very easy repair, first taking off either of the wooden side rails. With the hatch off you can use blue masking tape as a mold to hold the epoxy in place while it kicks. From there you use fiberglass tape to build them up until you reach the desired thickness.

My 25 was the same. I removed the hatch and sanded and cleaned the fiberglass and added a few layers of fiberglass sheet and resin to build it back up. All the added material was to the under side of the hatch. Worked out well. I bought the sheet and resin at an auto parts store that handles body shop supplies. While I was doing that I also sanded and finished the track rails. Not a hard job just takes some time. Reseal the rails to the deck when re-installing them. Good Luck
