We botched dropping the mast on our 22 ft. S-2 and bent the stainless steel step on the foot of the mast (complimentary part on deck is OK). The boot of the mast was corroded, so we plan to cut off 1 inch and adjust height of step accordingly. Before we rebuild step, we wonder 1) can the present company provide replacement or is there any other source, and 2) and advice from other owners would be mucjh appreciated.

The current company that builds Tiara power boats and occasionally another sailboat is unlikely to offer you any support. However, since they just bought the spars from someone else you need to look for parts based on the spar you have. Rigrite is a good source for many spars and related parts regardless of manufacturer.
