My search for new sails for my C22 is narrowing. 5oz. dacron seems to be the standard material. Does anyone have any experience with other weight dacron i.e., 5.5oz or 6.0oz? Thanks, AKM
Hello again, Unless you sail in Heavy Air frequently I don't think a Genoa of 5oz. will make you a happy camper. The larger the head sail, usually the lighter the cloth weight, think about it... The main usually is offered for 5oz. unless you opt for "offshore" quality or synthetics other than Dacron. dbergevin@ficom.net
