I have an 1973 Catalina 27 and was wondering if anyone knows of a brand new outboard with gen. & electric starter, 8 to 10 hp that will fit in my California boat. I now have an Even rude 9.9 2 stroke.

I think with some trimming of the fiberglass of transom and hatch it will fit. My boat has been chopped on even though I have a 2 stroke.

I have a Nisan 2stroke 9.8 with the handle removed and cockpit controls. Quiet.
