To all: I have owned an oday 25 for the last six years. I have refit the boat 2x in order to do 1 month at a time cruising in the not so tame waters of Alaska. Both refittings have been through Rudy.... While some of the solutions he has offered to me have been different from my origional oday, they have ALL worked out just fine and often times make more sense than the origional configuration. My latest renewal was jsut completed this week and let me be the first to say that I called Rudy on a Sunday and he delivered all of my rigging to Alaska by the next week. Everything was on the money... a little different from last time... but on the money... Thanks Rudy! Thanks to all who have responded to my questions..... Cheers! -DC

Where in AK?

Where in Alaska do you sail? I bought my O'Day 25 in Homer. It was actually kept in Kodiak, but the PO took it to Homer for us to take delivery. We motored, then sailed, a little around Katchemak (sp?) bay, but didn't do any real sailing per se. We did trailer the boat down the Al-Can. It was an interesting trip, to say the least. Their definition of a "highway" is vastly different from what I'm used to.
