hello everyone I am looking for the proper luff leech and foot measurements for sails for the cygnus 20 can some one help me thx steve

of course, there is nothing guaranteeing that the boat hasn't been modified at some point. Getting a sail made to the specifications is a bit risky unless you know the boat is completely stock. I'd also point out that some boats have had rig changes during the course of their manufacturing run, so the "stock" specifications will have changed depending on when the boat was made.
What I would do Fido is, record the sail dimensions off the site that Phil gave you and set the mast and boom up on the boat and take some measurements. Then check to make sure that the measurements will come out right taking into consideration the allowances for the clew out haul on the boom and the Tack down haul on the mast. My mast doesn't have a tack down haul, but your's may have one. To measure the luff length, just tie your tape measure and a rope to the main halyard shackle, and hoist it up. These measurements need to be taken from the pin on the goose neck.

Quantum in Toronto made me a great set of sails for my Cygnus, most Canadian sailmakers between Windsor and Montreal should know the dimensions. The boat is a Hinterhoeller design, nimble and will planes.

If your looking for sails for a Cygnus , a Sharks mainsail will fit it almost perfectly. It is about 1" shorter on the foot. Lots of used Shark sails available. The Jib is about 9 " to long, but could be trimmed for about $150.
