One of our favorite spots to spend a few days. After a night on a mooring, I saw a boat leave the anchorage behind. I quickly threw off our mooring and headed for the shoal area off the mooring field. We have spent several days here, and although the mooring field is nice, we prefer the anchorage for the privacy. We spent a couple of days swimming, walking the island, rowing to the numberous beach spots and combing them for whatever caught our eye.

It's poor holding and your keel will be brushing the eel grass and possibly myd, but a good overnight in settled weather with a shoal draft boat.

While Tom & family were cruising my home waters, I was returning to the Cape. I left Biddeford and dropped in at Gloucester. The next day I made it through the canal to Onset which is a great little spot. After Onset , it was a short hop to Cotuit in scattered showers and fog. Good to be home.

Nice shot Whit.

I stopped in Onset on my way home. A very nice spot, convienent and comfortable. I left my family in Woods Hole to get home in time for Field Hockey. I anchored in Onset, got fuel etc. there before heading through the Canal the next day and on to Provencetown.

We'll run into each other eventually.
