cutting cockpit cushions

I recently purchased a 1990 Hunter 27 and have some high density foam cushions that were left over from my H31. Can these be cut down to fit my 27?

yes, but...

Cutting them would be easy. Recoating the bare foam with vinyl would be the hard part. It's probably more trouble thatn its worth.

I bought some Bottomsiders and they say they can be recoated if the finish wears. They also have the molds for thousands of boats so they could likely recut and recoat, although I am sure it will not be cheap.

Cutting foam

The best and easiest method I've seen for cutting foam is to use an electric carving knife. Works slick.
