Cutless bearing replacement

I need to replace the cutless bearing on my 1986 O'Day 272. Does anyone have any experience with the Strut Pro removal tool? Where can I purchase it?

Hi Don -Given that you probably won't need to replace your cutlass bearing on a regular basis, you might try asking a local yard if they can loan or rent you the tool you need.Just a thought,Trevor

Thanks Trevor. I asked the yard today how they would go about changing the cutless. They used a system which pushed the bearing up towards the engine. Once clear of the strut, the bearing is then cut off. The new bearing is then pressed on from the prop end. I am thinking of making my own tool similar to the one they described to me (since I am a shop teacher, this is a simple matter).
