How do you describe the right part (diameter OD/ID? length? composition?) and where does one order replacement cutlass bearing for this model (H28.5)

Check out your local prop shop if you have one. If you have one drop by and talk to them they will probably show you what to do. If you don't have a prop shop check online for marine cutlass bearings and you will find several places that sell them. They have phone numbers and can advise you.

The shaft size on the 28.5 is one inch diameter the O.D. of thecutlas bearing should be carefully measured at the strut; probably about 1.25" Get a machinist inside / outside calipers to do the measurement.
