The cutlass bearing of my Beneteau 361 was damaged and unfortunately I must move the boat into the water tommorrow so there is no time to replace it. To be more specefic around 1 cm of the rubber from the two screws outwards is missing (cut)whereas from the screws and inside is OK. The shaft looks OK and does not move or vibrate. However, is it dangerous to leave it like this during motoring? Thanks PS: I will try to attach a photograph so you get a better picture.

You'll most likely be OK.

As I've see many a power boat run with a totally worn cutlass bearing. And their engines run a whole lot faster. Also it sounds like you don't have a choice. However, it's only about a 45 minute job with the right tools.
