Cutlass bearing and stuffing box

I need to replace the cutlass bearing and stuffing box on my 1968 P35. Has anybody done this without removing the fuel tank? I just installed the new tank last summer so I am well versed in what it takes but if I can avoid the PITA factor it would be great.

Have a 1980 P365 with a V drive, what's your set up . . .

Westerbeke 21 with shaft going straight out the back. I need a new shaft and cutlass bearing too so I have to get to the coupling.
