Cutlass replacement
Hello Dave, There are multitude of brands of cutlass bearings on the market. Most yards or stores refer to a “shaft bearing” as a “cutlass bearing”. The name “Cutlass Bearing” is a trade-marked name, I believe, owned by Johnson Duramax. Previous name was BF Goodrich. Most all brands have some small item, which makes them different from the comp. But in reality they are mostly the same when comparing apple to apple. You will need to provide the shaft OD and the strut ID to the people which you are buying the bearing from. Most all bearing company’s have 4-5-6 sizes of ODs to one shaft diameter. Hope this helps. Sincerely, Kevin L. Woody
