Cut Access port to holding tank....

What material is the holding tank? I am assuming plastic, so here goes... Just use CLR to clean it out. This should clean any gunk but more importantly the use of CLR removes mineral deposits and that kind of junk. Then sanitize with lemon scent bleach, both environmentally friendly products and won't harm the plastic holding tank.
Oh yea, I have some in my garage. This is the first time I have heard this mentioned in this forum.
After using CLR, should I follow up with Raritan KO? I have read several good recommendations for this product.
To remove the 'usual' thick *uric acid + seawater* produced 'concretions' in the bottom of the tank: RydLyme --> http://rydlymemarine.com Pump it in from the head but dont let it remain in contact with the porcelain bowl ... rinse the bowl with a small amt. of water. Let sit in holding tank for as long as possible - make sure that vent is clear as it can produce a lot of 'gas/foam'. Close access port when using but have the deck fill open ... just in case you build pressure in the tank.
Will also clean out the 'concretions / carbonates' in the rubber connection hose. Stuff is environmentally friendly - breaks down into 'vinegar - like' substances.
When finished, flush some soured 'yogurt or milk' down the 'head' to restart the 'good' bacteria in the holding tank.
