I sail to Canada at least a half a dozen times each summer so I deal with customs in the US a lot. They have encouraged me to get an I 68 which I did today. What a mess that was. It took over an hour, but the show at the customs office in Niagara falls made it go fast. What really stood out was that when I told the agent I wanted an I 68, all the other agents chimed in with what a joke was the whole program of monitoring boats coming in from Canada. We have no idea who is crossing our border via Lake Ontario.
