Has anyone ever taken a 26'with an outboard, and converted it to an inboard? How much work was it, and how did it turn out ?

Hi Jeff, While I have not done the project you mentioned above, I have priced it out in the past. To go with a standard diesel setup ( motor, shaft, prop and stuffing box) you will be looking at around 10K, with a lot of installation to deal with. An alternative is a Honda 4 stroke saildrive. It comes with a pre made mounting box that you shape to fit your hull, installation looks straight forward. Here is the link to the Honda site: http://www.saildrive280.com/Links.htm Good luck and let us know what you decide. Ben Allen Montgomery, AL "Latte Dah" O'Day 26
