I've got a C-27 1976 and the cushions are showing all 25 years of mildew in all its smelly glory. Time for a change. I've checked a local upholsteror who quoted $600-800, but I'm not clear if he has vinyl backing or marine grade foam rubber. Any experience in getting new cushions made. Thanks ahead of time.

Bottomsiders

Hi Tom: We have Bottomsiders on our 1996 C30 and we love them. Closed cell foam, does not hurt to get them wet. Not quite as soft as reqular foam cushions, but very comfortable. We just ordered a custom made helm "hump" seat for my very short wife, and received excellent service. Try WWW.bottomsiders.com for more info. Fair winds, Dave

Not for the interior

I think Tom is talking about interior cushions, not cockpit cushions so Bottomsiders *probably* wouldn't be ideal. ;-) I've read here that lots of folks contact Catalina directly for those. You might search the archives for more specific recommendations - there have been a number of conversations about this in the recent past. LaDonna

Local Shop

We had all of our interior cushions in our C30 recoverd this spring for $800. This included labor and material. Reused the existing foam. We also elected to use the existing vinal backing portion of the coshions. It saved about $200 in material. Make sure you go with a good material that will hold up to the UV rays. We are very pleased with the results. Ron Koenig C30

go to jsi

I bought cushions for my 380 from JSI (thats where the dealers go).. I don't care for bottom siders at all and my wife is even more adamant about them... the price for cushions is less than you have been quoted!!!
