My O22 had no settee/bunk cushions when I bought it. I almost bought enough 2" foam to make all new ones, then I noticed in a brochure picture that the cushions looked thicker than that. How thick are the originals? The foam is going to cost $120 to $150 dollars, I'd like the right stuff.

Give Your Back A Break

Go with quality foam. Go with 3". I have 2" vinyl covered for the pit cushions, and I have slept on these, but it was not comfortable. For the berth and settee's I'd go the extra inch. This will hopefully be the last set you will need. Don

More is better...

Hell, if you are having them made, why not go with 4 inches? Like Don said, give yourself a break. You wouldn't want a couch or recliner in your house that only had two inches of cushion, so why have it on your boat? Hunt around, you might be able to find dense closed cell foam a lot cheaper at a diffrent place. Unless money was a big concern... But then again, back surgery is probably a lot more expensive! Heh.
