I am brand new to sailing and just bought a "86 catalina 27. The boat is in great shape with the exception of the curtins inside. There is a track and the curtins have some "snaps" sewn on them. Not knowing how to sew and not necessarily wanting some custom work I was wondering if you can buy curtins ready to "snap" in from somewhere. I have not seen any sites advertising them or do I need to enlist a seemstress?

I just bouyght some from West Marine.. A little pricey but worth it and they have the snaps you are talking about if you look hard enough..

Pleated Drop Down Shades

Hi Rich -You might take a look at the pleated drop down shades available on this site at the chandlery (see Related link). I am considering adding them to my boat - there's a positive review from someone who installed them on his O'Dday 32.Let us know what you end up with!Trevor
