I had to replace the metal curtain tracks with the new plastic ones. How do the new style plastic curtain tracks attach to the window? If you use screws, they will not let the sliding curtain track "slide" into place. Help! No common sense. Andy

As I recall mine has small flathead screws that sits in the bottom of the track and let the curtain slide past.
Secure men hanging curtains..
Andy, Hey guy you live in Oriental,N.C.? Pretty place really.Visited last summer.I'm originally from Wilmington, N.C. Anyway I've re-worked alot on my Catalina 25 since I've purchased it 2 years ago, and launched it just this last April. Up to that point most of my work consisted of bottom, hull & deck work. Now I've been concentrating on the interior. New carpet, re-upholstery and such. Last but I'm sure not least are the curtains. I had to remove the old warped, yellowed plastic track that I'm sure came with my boat. They were held in place with small u-shaped clips that fit directly behind the screws that secure the metal window frame in it's opening. The plastic track then slid through the clips from one port to the next.Hope that's of some help. I need now, to find both the track & curtains of some type. Ironically Catalina Owners web page has curtains for sale this month, rather pricy me thinks. But an option. I'm looking for all secure male/female advice on hanging curtains man. good luck Tarheel.

Real Men
West Marine carries tracks and a variety of curtains. It's OK for you to put up the tracks but real men don't select or hang the curtains.
