Current (July 2020) Info on Rhode Island, Newport, Goat Island, etc.?

We're thinking of visiting Newport and environs tomorrow, and would appreciate some current local knowledge.

How are things there with the virus?

We've never tried the Goat Island anchorage. Is anyone familiar with this? Where's the dingy dock, etc.?

I’ve anchored off of Ida Lewis and the dinghy dock is right there. Good holding but it can get crowded. A popular destination. It’s a long walk to town but we have a pair of folding bikes. Never anchored and was unaware there was anchoring allowed at Goat Island. Looks like maybe on the north side. Never been on that side Of Goat Island so not familiar with dinghy access.
