Cuddy Cabin Hatch/Door - Photo of interior side of door

The cuddy cabin door was missing from the boat when purchased. We've seen photos of Javelin models showing the exterior of the door. I'm trying to construct a hatch/door for an opening that is W-13" x H-12" and would like to see either plans or photos of how it is made on the interior side and how it is secured to the boat. There are no holes or marks to indicate previous use of hinges or other types of hardware to hold the door securely in place. Does it have to be water tight? We would also like to know what is best wood to use.
