Hi All, Does anyone have any information on the a Crusising Solutions Furler? I'm assuming it is original equipment, but may be wrong about that. My boat is a 1980 37C. I'm looking to see if there is a ball bearing kit available anywhere for this furler. Thank you. Jim B. S/V Leben ist gut

I just purchased a 33' Hunter (1978). It has a furler with a CDI label. The PO had all the original books and it looks like the company (now Cruising Design) may have provided this as original equipment based on the copyright of the owner's manual.

Looking at the Cruising Design, Inc. Continous & Racing Refeefer 8/9/12 Assembly and Operation Guide. #8 Max Stay Length: 44' #9 Max Stay Length: 51' #12 Max Stay Length: 58' Part # 5430 (Drum Bearing) is the same for all sizes. If you have this one you could call Cruising Design and ask for thier recommendation for a replacement/substitute. Hope this helps.

Are you sure it is not a Hyde Streamstay? Almost all of the early H37Cs were so equipped including my 1979. Mine still functions well and parts are still available. See Rig-Rite at Related Link below.
