I own a Pearson 303 with a Crusing Design II Reefer rolling furling....trying to fiqure out how to get the jib down (no visable halyard). I check the internet and could not find an answer. Appreciate anyone who can help me with this.

Some of these designs have a special fitting
that runs up the second furler extrusion slot on a halyard, requiring a downhaul. Once they engage with the upper swivel, the sail is loosened and can come down.
Do you have a fancy piece of metal on the boat that you don't know what it's purpose is? And that has a long piece of thin line on it?
To raise the sail you engage the fitting on the halyard with a downhaul on the fitting. The fitting goes in one slot, the sail in the other. Raise the sail, the fitting clicks it in at the head (up top) and use the downhaul to pull the fitting down. To drop the sail, reverse the fitting in the slot, raise it to release the sail.
That's what we had on our boat when we bought it, the system failed and I replaced it, when we redid the standing rigging, with a ProFurl.

i just took my mac25 out of the water for the season, 1st year sailing, was great, and my jib would not come down either,dropped the mast with it attached and found the little plastic grommets between the metal peices are all broken, its a cdi reefing system and am going on the site tonight to see if there is a fix, any advice would be great, mine was hooked up wrong for sure as the top of the jib was hooked right to the top, must have raised it with it hooked up already as noway for it to come down, anyone familiar with this system

Roller furler messenger lines
I am not familiar with cruiser II furlers But All Cdi furlers are raised by attaching their internal partially decored halyard and than raising the sail with a line that comes out of the other side of track and gets tied off on drum after the sail is raised. To drop the sail you must undo the line attached to the drum, attach a messenger line to it and leave the messemger line on after the sail is dropped
If you dont do this your not gonna be able raise or lower. You have to detach the messenger line after the sail is raised and re attach it to lower
