I have a Hunter 320 with a CruiseAir A/C system and digital control panel. The fan on the unit runs continiously regardless of whether the compressor is on or not. The book tells one how to reprogram it such that the fan only runs when the compressor kicks on (H10 in the "0" position) but I'll be doggone if that changes anything. Anyone have any suggestions or experience with the unit?

Fan Always on

On a boat A/C you want the fan to always run if the unit is on. If you don't then there will be both hot and cold areas in the boat. You need the fan on to keep the air moving around in the boat. I don't know why you can't turn it off, but you really don't want to.

Do you have your fan set on "A"

My marine air system is an older unit, but on my control there is also a setting that you set by holding the fan button down while the unit is running - for the fan to stop and start and automatically adjust its speed with the compressor, you have to hold the button down until the display shows "A" on the display - it will step through numbers 1-6, then go to A - take your finger off the button, then the system will stop and start with the compressor - I usually run my fan at '2" when I am actually on the boat - seems to keep the boat more comfortable - but let the auto feature work at other times.
