Great fireworks at Lopez on the 4th. Great meeting up with @Stu Jackson and going to Thetus for a fun Rendezvous

Not good bending my rudder and having diver clearance it so I could continue and definitely bad getting a big hole in mixing elbow. Limping back to the dock now, exhaust poring out of the cabin.

Got back to the dock ok. 1/4 water & 1/2 the exhaust going in the boat - shooting things up for 3 hours. Once I got in the marina all the water was going in the bilge, pumps were running. Tied up and shut thins down. Packed up some food, Rx, Locked it up, my Son came to pick me up & had trailer, so he motored up to launch while I schlept things to the car and then to boat launch. He drove home, shower and G&T & I’m feeling almost human.

Not quite ready to tell that story — too much shame.
Been there, done that. I can't quite bring myself to write up how I hit a rock inside Sidney - Van Isle marina. Damage to keel and hull. Doh!

Been working in Everett at Cross Water Yachts. What dock are you on?

This is what the elbow looks like with tape on hose clamps off.

And the hole - it’s tight against a bulkhead so no way to see it yesterday.

I bet you find a big hunk of carbon in that elbow that defected the hot exhaust, unquenched at the carbon steel elbow.;)

Les can have that riser off his engine in as little time as it takes me to screw a light bulb in, and I'm very slow at that! :)

It took about 20 minutes cause that darn 3” HE was in the way, I could do it much faster with. The 2” HE in there.
