I'm (almost for sure) the only Hunter 27 (old model)owner in Holland and surroundings and therefore I have no experience with tellings of other people about crossings in the North Sea, Mediterenean or Atlantic. I have sailed her across the coastal waters of France, Denmark and the U.K. and I'm considering a cross-over to the United States. Is there anyone who had a long-distance experiance with a Hunter 27 and can (still) tell about it? Thanks Oliver

Oliver, try posting to the Cherubini Forum...

You'll probably get a better response if someone has made the crossing in the 27 as by your description it's a Cherubini design. I know there have been posts of 33' making crossings, one in particular is Tim Schaaf (hope I spelled that right)who I believe may be on a crossing or preparing to depart Cabo San Lucas for Pacific ports. If he is on-line he could probably give you more insight. Lesser boats have done it but be realistic in your expectations and I'm sure as a North Sea sailor you've probably experienced more than the average conditions on your boat. After all, the skipper is one of the largest pieces of the equasion. Sure would make interesting reading for the Hunter site if you keep us up to date on your endeavours! Good luck to you.
