The Vinoy Basin next to the Pier is an excellent anchorage in downtown St. Pete. Also for the best Fish & Chips outside England visit "The Moon Under the Water" across the park in front of the anchorage. The administrator for the city of St. Pete for the anchorage is the St. Pete Municipal Marina. Just call them on the VHF upon arrival and unless there is some planned activity on the water they will welcome you to stay.
