I own an exceptionally nice 1996 Oceanis 44 that is kept in the Caribbean. I have sailed from Trinidad to BVI and would like to sail in some other parts of the world. Are there boat owners in other parts of the world who would like to do a crew exchange, or possibly a boat exchange?

Pacific Northwest Boat Swap

I've been interested in a boat swap for a couple of years, and have even posted the idea with the Beneteau 411 private newsgroup, but no one is interested. I would be interested in a boat swap at some point. We live in Seattle, the perfect base for a cruise to the San Juans, Gulf Islands, or Desolation sound.

SURE! Excellent Idea!

Man, I couldnt have thought of a better idea myself, even after some Captain Morgans as an aid! I would LOVE to do a boat swap! Your boat sounds inviting - I'm hooked already! I own a lovely Beneteau First 235 that will have some NEW carpet and a pressure wash. It's currently in my friend's backyard, five miles inland of the wonderful Mid-Atlantic around Wrightsville Beach! GLORY! I could clean up his yard and put out some Citronella Torches! Indeed, there is a nice breeze in the late afternoons and the most beguiling, stately Live Oak above! The lawn is a bit rough and I might have to hide some other equipment but the possibilities are endless. ANY TIME is fine! A month? EXCELLENT! There is a 7-Eleven within walking distance and I'll throw in my 93 Camry. Please see LINKED shot! http://home.earthlink.net/~aeholsten/scoot/cow_zoned1.jpg Send pics of your boat and the deal can move forward. Sincerely and Hopeful, Kelly Holsten http://www.beneteau235.com/

well.....

That last post was with tongue firmly planted in cheek... Surprised as rain that anyone took me seriously. I did drop you a mail though as who wouldnt love some time in the Caribbean. My last time there was on my brother's Jeanneau International 50 "Mischief" which was just sold. See shots and details of this great boat below: http://home.earthlink.net/~landsendventures/ That boat was amazing - I could have easily lived on that beast. It was FAST and more than comfortable! kh
