Jib sheet problems. when heading upwind, we get a big crease from the clew to the second hank from the bottom. this has to be wasting some of the the jib's power. Does this mean we need to move the sheet blocks,They don't have a track. There is a small extension line at the tack of the jib. Don't know if it is original equipment. We tried a longer one since the foot of the jib drags across the lifelines. This didn't work at all. Should we have the tack attached directly to the fitting without that extension?

Rule of thumb

Draw a mental line extending the jib sheet through the jib to its luff. This line should bisect the luff into two equal parts. If not, you must move the sheet block. If you use different size forsails, you must go to a track.

Jib Crease

I have the same boat with the same extension at the jib tack but no crease.I would try decreasing the extension before anything else.My buddy has the same boat, same setup, and no crease.Let us know how things turn out.
