I hope somebody might have some idea what might be causing the creaking I hear when I am sailing through crossing seas. Is it possible the rudder is causing the noise as it's being stressed to the side? If I'm sailing into the current or with a current I don't hear a thing. Thank you. Robert

Hunter 380 Creaking

Les - Thanks for the response. The creaking always happens in heavy seas - whether I'm sailing or at anchor, but when sailing - only if the seas are hitting us from the side. Yep. I will call Hunter. Have been meaning to do this but figured I would post it first in case somebody had an answer here. Thank you, Robert

Ours creak also!

Robert, We have just sailed from Miami to Trinidad, and our 1998 376 does the same thing... It is really bad when at anchor and it is rolly , I can't sleep. My wife uses ear plug's.. If you find an answer please, Please let me know. I know it is from were the fiberglass meets the wood. I have put rubber in between but it pushes it out...
