Please give me comment on this one. I'm a first time owner of a 1989 Cat 30 and just finished "tuning" the mast. All set up and evenly balanced, straight and a little on the tighter side but not rock solid (guitar string) tight. The problem(?) is this: When I "lean" on the lower stays, or generally "stress" the rigging by pulling. shaking, etc., both aft lower stays, where they enter the deck are "creaking", that is, I can hear the bulkhead below the deck actually making the noise. And really, the entire, boat seem a little more "flexible" than I am comfortable with.IS THIS NORMAL? Or is there a history of the aft bulkhead not being as solid as it could be, separating from the hull, etc.... I have had several sailboats, and not experienced this issue, the last one being an Irwin 30 that is not particularly overbuilt, but the rig was solid as a rock compared to my current situation?Comments please?Thanks/Regards, Bruce
