I checked out the inside as suggested and could find nothing wrong....it actually looked good (fingers crossed don't jinx myself). The keel locking bolt was bent so I pulled it and fab'd a replacement.

This winter I'll put some work on her. But dammit, I want to sail now.

Sorry if I am over cautious, I am new to this thing.

Fantastic.

Within reason, you can never be over cautious when it comes to boats.
I'm the last guy to be scared of things, but I'm a stickler for making sure that any boat I'm on is fit for the task.
It was better to check the hull now on the trailer than find out later on the water.

I just spent the last few days pulling out panels and digging into every nook and cranny of our C22, just so I know what is what. "need to fix that"... "ok that's how it's built" etc

Keep us up to date on the progress. Especially your first day on the water with family. :D

I've suggested it before, and I'll suggest it again. You have one of the most active C-22 Fleets right there in the Ft Walton area. They just finished hosting one of the largest, longest running C-22 cruises. Why don't you get involved with your local C-22 Fleet-77? They have the knowledge and experience, and would be a valuable resource for you. Heck, I'm a dues paying member of Fleet-77,($15. a year), and I live 2,200 miles away. Great bunch of folks!
