For those following the saga of me finding a sailboat, I gave up on the Catalina 25 that needed repairs and the owner of the S2 6.8 and I couldn't come to an agreement on the price, so I've moved on. I've found an Irwin 25 in Babylon, NY that I'll be moving (how it wil be moved is still TBD) to the New Jersey cost (proably Ocean City, NJ). Once it's there, I have a stoarge issue - how do I store her? I'm looking at buying jack stands/boat stands, but I don't know the height I'll need. I have also considered building a cradle out of pressure treated 2x6's or 2x8's, but can't find any dimensions for the hull or recommendations for the number of stands and their height. Can someone help point me in the right direction?
Of course, this would all be MUCH easier if I could find a reasonably priced trailer that would hold her, but that has been a challenge, too.
