During the summer, my steel cradle was damaged by a bonehead that pushed it with a backhoe. The (slightly twisted) cradle damage was not discovered until this fall when the marina guys tried to lay the boat (hunter 35.5) up for winter storage. We discovered that the forward port side would not properly seat. I now have a 3 inch space between the boat bottom and the forward bunk of the cradle. As a temporary remedy, the marina guys shimmed the gap with some wood scraps. My question is, if the boat is not evenly supported for an extended period, is the boat at risk for warping or other structural damage??????

IMO I think you should be OK. Most of the weight shoud be resting on the keel. The pads should basically be keeping the hull centered and upright.
