I was wondering if there is anything i can do for pressure cracks on the boat. They are just small little crack things, but there is a lot of them and i would like to get rid of them if i could. Also i was wondering if there is any type of like oil or wax or wash stuff that could bring back the color of the boat and make it a little bit shinny. Thanks a lot....oh and thanks to all the people who helped me with the teak on my boat...its looking brand new.

Wet Sand, Epoxy

I can only assume you are talking about gel-coat crazing when describing cracks. There are a lot of ways to fix them, but my favorite is to sand them/grind them out so they are feathered out then fill them with West Systems or Maas epoxy with a little pigment. Now, as for your shineyness issue. I prefer to wet sand the finish then wax it, and keep it waxed. Wet sand with 1000, 1500 then 2000 grit sandpapers. Polish it, wax it, and call it a winner. It'll be a new finish, because, well it is a new finish.

use poly glow

Hello, I will comment on the faded gel coat with not alot of shine. Use a product called Poly Glow. I read about it in Practical sailor magazine. They did a very extensive test and found it to be one of the best they tested. Very easy to apply, clean the boat with the concentrated cleaner they supply in the kit. Then apply 4-6 coats of the Poly glow with the applicator they supply. In the space of about 2-3 hours you have a very very shiny surface that is hard and durable. I am never trusting of the "amazing products" that claim to save alot of time and effort. I am sold on this stuff! The kit cost about $60.00 delivered to my door and there is enough to do the boat 2 times with 6 coats each. I ordered from thier website www.poliglowproducts.com. The best thing about the product is if you are unsatisfied by the results you can remove it and spend your life sanding not sailing. Your choice. Jim

Poly Glow

Poly Glow is very good. Just make sure NOT to use it anywhere you want to walk or sit. Stuff is like greased teflon except more slippery.
