My Hunter 170 is in Minnesota, and is stored in a very cold garage over the winter. I've noticed over the past several years that it has developed a variety of spider cracks. I worry about them because they tend to occur near points of stress, such as near cleats, knuckles, the mast bracket, etc. Someone told me that these are basically consmetic problems, as the hull itself is multi-layered.
The manufacturer recommends drilling a whole at either end and using epoxy.
Anyone have this experience or any thoughts on the matter?
