As I was sweeping the snow off my boat last week I noticed a couple very small hairline cracks in the foredeck. They look almost like a small spiderweb. What do you recommend?
Snow melts, water seeps into any opening and expands when it refreezes, hence the cracks. This is the same method used to quarry rock: drill holes, fill with water, let it freeze and voila - cracks. I never had this problem in Miami!GlennWindWisp
I just asked Hunter Service the same question. Courtesy of Greg Emerson:"The cracks that you see are cosmetic and not really a short term problem but more of an eye sore. Long term however it would be best to have them repaired by using a drimmel tool and opening them up and re-fiber glassing them. After that they would of course then need to be patched and finished."I have quite a few to repair.
