I have an opportunity to purchase a used Widgeon for what seems to be a deal (<$750 w/ trailer). The hull, centerboard, rudder, mast and sails are in good shape but that rigging needs to be replaced in the near future. I have attached a photo showing cracks in the area where the mast steps. Should this concern me? Is there an easy fix? Even if this requires professional work, I think that the boat will be a great starter for small lakes.
